2023 Performances

Anna Sudac

Anna Sudac is a Kingston-based vocalist, songwriter, actor, baker (and mama!) whose love of performing has led her to stages across Canada.  In addition to her solo work as a singer/songwriter, host and DJ, she performs as a duo with Jesse MacMillan, and has co-created with incredible artists including Kingston’s Alexandra Montagnese, Toronto’s Mitch Willer, and Rogue’s Hollow’s own David Archibald! Anna has been a featured backup singer for Georgette Fry, Spencer Evans, Heatwave – A Motown Tribute, The Gertrudes, and was a recently a guest vocalist with Open Voices choir.

Anna’s musical development has been shaped by radical exposure to everything she falls in love with, from Stephen Sondheim and John Prine, to Mary Margaret O’Hara and The Mountain Goats.  She is obsessed with the power of poetry in song-writing, to capture, illuminate, repurpose and reconcile.

Savannah Shea Women's Art Festival 2022 Performer

Savannah Shea

Savannah Shea is a Kingston based singer, writer and multi-instrumentalist. Last May she completed a Bachelor of Music from Humber College and she works as a performer and music teacher in Kingston and the surrounding area.

Savannah sings because she is not always able, and it is not always enough to speak. She writes because she is looking for clues about the mysterious nature of being alive. She plays piano to feel held by sound and plays guitar to feel like she is holding sound. Savannah creates music and performs with the intention of building connections and sharing light. She is grateful to be here with you all and hopes that during the show this miraculously gathered group of people can transcend boundaries & become united in the experience of shared sound & space.

Alex Mundy 2022 Women's Art Festival Performer

Alex Mundy

A roots-pop artist with a voice that has been hailed as “raw and powerful,” Alex Mundy has been writing songs and performing for almost a decade. In 2019, she was selected as one of the winners of the YGK Emerging Musician Competition, which led to performances and recording sessions at the Isabel Bader Centre in Kingston, Ontario. Her single, “Oleander” was selected as a semi-finalist in the International Songwriting Competition out of Nashville, Tennessee, where she was judged by the likes of Coldplay, Dua Lipa, and Tom Waits. Her lyrical honesty and unforgettable melodies exude a powerful nostalgic quality, one which she hopes resonates with her listeners. Currently, Alex is in the process of recording and co-producing her debut record with engineer/producer Aaron Holmberg (The Tragically Hip, Sarah Harmer), which she is planning on releasing this year.

Each year, we look for captivating female talent to perform on the stage bringing together dancers, musicians, singer-songwriters from Kingston and the surrounding area. We celebrate the diversity of female performers who continue to be a highlight for visitors to the festival.
